My fidgety mind often stops me from writing at the right moment, when a thought comes by. But Today I decided not to procrastinate and utter right now. A post by Deepak Sir and the congratulatory messages on that reminded me of the very first meeting with him. I could not stop myself from Penning or Infact typing this long yet first in the series to “People Who Inspire Me" on my Blog.
"There are Thousands who inspire through words, however there are few who motivate through Actions." In lifetime, we should not delay to express our gratitude as it is the most uncertain thing. Who knows when the moment dies or you get staggered by the unintended chaos of life. Toastmasters has changed my life, in a way that nothing else did. An uncanny co-incident or mere conspiracy of stars that I walked into one TM meeting never to be out of its magic again. In this journey, there are numerous members, leaders and peers who have impacted my life, m opinions and my reactions in life. Deepak Sir, When somewhere back in 2010- 2011, a low on confidence, somewhat stammering and completely naive girl mustered the courage to repeat her Icebreaker in an organization wide Speech Event. Your words of appreciation and true feedback after the event changed the game for her. It might have been just one of the many moments; you have had in your numerous interactions in Toastmasters. However for me it has been the Turning Point for me. Humbly I can say as a person I always got mature and more confident after that. That is the Power of a great leader, making an impact on the new beginners who fumble at the beginning. Good feedback, honest recommendations given in a manner that fills positive thoughts in other person's mind, as a leader you have always inspired everyone. Post that first big event of my Toastmasters Journey, I got an opportunity to interact and work with the teams in District 41 in India for several years. It was each interaction with you, whether short or a long one that instilled an urge to be a better person and more competitive leader to me. I am just one of the many who owe our confidence and leadership skills to your guidance. Coming to this amazing country, I have found that Toastmasters across the world are similar. Co-operative, Professional and Highly Supportive. It feels extremely proud and ecstatic to me and to thousands of toastmasters in India to have interacted and worked closely with you. You were always available whenever I reached you out for interviews and messages for Newsletters or any Souvenir. Whenever I looked up to your advice, you always gave the apt one. There are many laurels to your personality be it associated with Toastmasters or your profession. However apart from those tangibly accounted virtues, the traits that inspire most of us are the humility and humbleness.
As life goes, Looking forward to more learning and more guidance from you. May God Bless You and May You Keep Shining! Thanks Neha
