Do you mind being called a non-conforming Hindu or Muslim...... An unholy Christian or an unfaithful Sikh..... Well, You would and You should! Born in a certain religion does not restrain me to respect and relish other religions. I almost since childhood lived with this clarity of thought. happily. until this strange encounter..... I had just began my exciting career in Noida. The first thing I did was to locate a temple nearby, then a Sai baba temple, then a Gurudwara and Peer baba ki Mazar. I could not find a church though. As my customary habit, on a day I was wishing for some thing really important in my life I started with a prayers and went to Hanumanji Temple. With a Orange Tilak on my forehead, I entered the Mazaar and prayed again. While I was coming out and heading towards the Sai Baba temple a middle aged Aunty stopped me. She told me If you are a Muslim you should not be going to a temple and if you are a Hindu you should not be entering a Mazar. I did not pay any attention and tried to move On but she held my hand. She then gave me some weird facts and figures that were enough to scare a novice girl in a new town. I Stopped visiting Mazar, soon I shifted to new place! Only two years later I had another wish which I knew could= only be fulfilled when all my friendly Gods bestow me. I gathered courage again, shrugged off those mythical facts that aunty gave me and set on my usual tour-de-bhagwan.... First- Church, then hanuman temple, then peer baba ki mazar and finally gurudwara. Guess what- My Wish was fulfilled and my faith resurrected! I do not see any difference in these places of worship. When I pray in Mazar my hands are joined and the muslim girl, her hands are open. But probably both of us are wishing for same dreams and same happiness,,, Every Thursday I end up defying my religious entity. and the poor auto wala bhaiya who takes me for this ride gets confused. I go to Gurudwara-Sai Baba Temple- Mazar-Hanuman Temple in a single round. I no longer care what that type of aunties feel its between me and my god or Gods indeed. Yes I remember Hanuman chalisa by Heart and I also can chant some verses of Bible. I know the complete Ek aunkar prayers and yes I know some lines from Quran. I still dont know if that Aunty was herself a Muslim or a Hindu, because she wore a saree, had glass bangles in her wrists! When we all look, feel, live similar whats the use to crib over some differences.... Worshiping and faith in God is a person's personal choice and it should not be commanded by anyone. Also I am not trying to profess that one should be too liberal and do what their religion does not allow. But I know for sure No one becomes a lesser Hindu by going to a Mazar or a Mosque or lighting candles in the church. Neither we turn lesser Muslim by respecting a hindu's faith. Only thing that makes us Lesser HINDU, MUSLIM, CHRISTIAN or SIKH is acts of intolerance against humanity. We need not push the message down our spines that god is one- Yes God is One but we all have created versions of him in our dear ways, and are free to worship him the way we love. My faith is we have all different Gods but they're all friends and family to each other. :-). This gives me scope to pray and ask for my million wishes from God, Allah, Bhagwan and Wahe Guru at same time and they do bless me. Thankfully, my parents brought me up such light that I am not staunch, I do not choose people by their surname but by their deeds, So you may call me a Lesser hindu- A non Muslim- an incomplete Sikh- An unreal Christian But for sure I am a real HUMAN..... and I m still holding on aBIG Wish and praying to all my gods. hope they listen.. u pray 4 me too :P

{Chinky- Pahadi- Bhaiyan} but not FAKE
Well for a small towner to come and have their selves established in this CAPITAL city is not so damn easy. The foul plays, the intense and the Pompous are just few typical characters to be dealt with. A lot of people have successfully embraced this city because they have met some wonderful Delhi walahs . But is it as easy for everyone ? There are few conventional and To Be Seen Scenarios which are quite common. Some that made me feel disgusted and Touched are here? Scenario 1- Being Bullied by the BIG Towner Huh! Have seen so many times in parties, in metro and in even some social gatherings. The CAPITALISTS( That’s what I call the Here People) feel only they are fashion forward, have had all the exposure and yes that they only have OPEN Mindedness. They would bully in strange manner- like if a small town girl wears a short dress- She is so Despo( Apne Gaon me to kabhi Jeans b ni peheni hoge). Or you would hear them saying – Is not she trying too hard. For them everyone is a object of bullying. A north Eastern is nothing but a CHINKY- CHOWMEIN- MOMO. These people would need some lessons in geography and demographics to know that Assamese, Manipuri, Arunachali, Tripuraite and even Meghalaya are all part of India and these guys are not CHINESE. I feel like slapping some wanabes who call the sweet and adorable girls with somewhat oriental looks – Despo, and even look at them as if they are available for quick Sex and they would go with any guy…. Those girls are as noble as we are. They have come far from their homes to study, work and have a career. They are not some BIG Daddies spoilt brats who do not have even the potential to face a crowd without their makeup. They call a person from hills PAHADI and bully us. Someone was so damn idiot that he asked me If DEHRADUN has a LEVIS showroom. A begali is often teased as Rasugulla and Bong. They would tease a Gujrati as Gujju and Dhokla… Bihari is a Bhaiya for them Scenario 2- Lack of Knowledge – Abundance of Gyan Metro trains are a best way to see and analyze the Heights of Knowledge in some of the CAPITAL ists…An average Capitalist would not even know- if Jharkhand and Bihar are two separate states now. And to top of it. If you ask them which language is spoken in which south indian state, they would need Google for it. Everyone who has a dark tone is MADRASI… They do not know even whats the difference between Malyalam and Telugu. Some of them have so grand knowledge that they often ask me if Himachal and Uttaranchal are same. Well they have seen that all the Pahadis are fair, pretty and those beautiful girls do not need that much makeup J….. Gyan ho ya na ho Dikhana jarur hai… It is that is why evident that all the leading and star performers in various companies, media, colleges are often a Bihari, Bong, Pahadi or even a CHINKY. While the CAPITALists are busy blabbering their talent, others are manifesting it. Scenario 3- If it is not happening in Delhi it is not Happening at all We all agree that delhi is the centre and everything that happens here is News. But WAKEUP WAKEUP… India is also beyond Delhi. So if something great or something bad is happening somewhere else that is true as well. A fashion show in another city is also as grand as Delhi one. Y so insecure…… Scenario 4- If You Blame Delhi and Its People Why are You Coming Here? LOL…. India became free from any kind of Kingdom or rule way back but some CAPITALists feel that it still exists. That they own this Land… And anyone who comes and lives here is an outsider. No we are not. Anyone can go and live anywhere in India. We come here and we work here, we earn our own living with our hardwork. We are not cursing anyone, we are just being vocal about the indifferent attitude you show us. Until we spend years to match with you and then eventually turn into a capitalist. Making personal remarks on someone ethnicity, someones city, someones caste and bullying them just because they are alone is not humane. Taking Potshots on someone who is a Baniya/ Brahmin- makes me feel that people are still living in ancient ages. Whether someone is a BONG/BIHARI/Punjabi/Pahadi/Mallu/Assamese/Negro they all deserve respect. And yes we do not demand it we command it J ! I have just one question- even if you call our places GAON. See how long way we have come and today we give you stiff competition:-D…. Both in Looks- Work and Popularity. Yes we have not seen Discotheques in our towns, yes Drinking a glass of Vodka in public is a big deal for Us, yes could not wear short clothes and roam openly. So what- We can do now if we want and do not be insecure about anything…… Nation Needs Change!!!!
The winds of change are flowing fast. The nation is all set to Vote and choose their next leader and as you toggle along various news channels you see the drama at its best. Sting Operations, Party Media Campaigns, as they say in Hindi Arop Pratyarop...Debates, Analysis, Opinion polls and an array of disarrayed experts trying to prove a point. God knows what comes out as a result of the polls in May… But right now one thing is quiet evident- when everyone is busy finding faults, miniscule points to ridicule the opponents and find some VOTES. One man is consistently and successfully involved in his own agenda.., MODI – is not seen visiting states to find facts, neither he is seen appearing on self-funded talk shows. Modi is atleast doing some good stuff--- CHAI Pe CHARCHA.. :-) He is sticking to his point and giving hope to the country that has eventually have had enough of REVOLUTIONARY Ideas that start with a bang but die in a whimper. I certainly believe MODI deserves a Chance.........MODI is not perfectly flawless but yes who is perfect in this POLITICAL WORLD????? What if he says he wants to make entire India as developed and awesome as GUJRAT... :-) Rahul Gandhi seems to be on an auto repeat mode- to speak just the three words- Women empowerment- Youth- .. What and how he would empower us the women nobody knows. On other hand we have Arvind Kejriwal… A self proclaimed Krishna or an avatar of god who is going to wipe off corruption. He wants to give us an alternative to the corrupt government. Well, alternative that mght leave the nation orphaned without any leadership in just about 2 months. He calls himself an anarchist, and proudly promotes his odd mannerisms but is it actually what it takes to run nation like India. MODI is often called as PHEKU… The leading newsmakers( Pun Intended) are trying to do an R&D on his claims for the development in Gujrat. People often proclaim he is communal. But right now, he is the strongest voice. Gujrat may not have been as developed as he says Or maybe is not as innocent as he tries to be. But Do we have an option. And yes! When the court has given its verdict on his being Clear what else we demand. There is a clear prerogative for elections right now- Corruption, Youth and WOMEN empowerment... Being a Woman- Young and Non Corrupt- I vouch for NaMo this time because ArKe has led our faiths Down recently and I am not at all interested in Ghisa Pita - har hath shakti RaGa..... We Need Change- :-) Sometimes I wonder which category I fit in... Behenji or Babe... I think a lot of my gender peer fall in same dilemma. because we have hearts and mind of traditions and looks of modernity.... But the society...is fuc**** judgemental.... :-)
Beauty or lack of it, Intelligence or lack of it, prudence or lack of it, What ever the case is women in every way needs to justify, define and re-convey her status to the world. It is quite an idiocy of some sorts that we the women continuously battle to prove our points It is ironical that the society that seems to be created, developed and nurtured by the women, has only made laws and bye laws for this poor creature. The testimony of a woman's intellect is the simplistic looks she adorns. The proof of her being fashion forward is her short clothes. I detest the presumptions people make for a girl just by looking at her. I do not want to convey that we women are always saints but almost always we arent the bitches until you drag us to be. I as a educated girl do not need fair and lovely to enhance my skintone. My talent adds the shine to me. IF I AM FAT it is my problem- I carry all my weight not You. If I put makeup that is because I like it not because I want to impress you... :-P.... As a women- married or single or committed I know where my bounds are. I need not shown my periphery. If I am single it doesnt mean I am always available to be taken, if I am married I am committed but not drooped not to make any friends... Its my choice to be a BOMBSHELL or a BEHENJI... To be HOT or cool. To be size Zero or a ZERO like shape.... Problem with men is :-) they like good looking girls. They adore them but when these good looking girls come with a mind and talent of their own, they find hard to compete.with!!!!!! Whenever I try to assimilate all my thoughts, control my women activist kind of emotions and try to pacify my boiling thoughts- something comes popping to accelerate them, It is not strange that people have awful connotations for women, they have amazing theories to gauge a woman's character. They have some highly advanced processes to decide a girl's character by the color of her lipstick. They have super brains which can tell that all the work she did in her project was actually done by another guy. A cute girl, a hot girl, a beautiful girl, a dumb girl, a plain girl, a desperate girl, a nice girl... Girl friend material- marriage material... they have great understanding of everyone..... The paradoxical society that would not accept a woman as she is and try to change her for way they want. "Women are not customizable piece of code which you can alter at runtime and execute as you need. They are hardcoded ROM and you need to see, use and cater with whatever is already written.... If there is an error you cannot debug and fix it, else your system can crash" " Some people might even feel that women are like tailor-made solutions - you buy the software and get it tweaked for your requirements. But they do not know that women are actually the Virus - Trojan- malware if activated can kill the entire system. It is sad to see the SANE, EDUCATED and literate sitting in glass door buildings make comments on girls- when they ward off the talent of girls just because she is fashionable. Some absurd but there theories for women
The stereo types are everywhere- in villages, in small towns in big towns, everywhere. But the sigh of relief is that women today have uncanny ignorance to all this crap. They have reached a consensus with the stigmatic society... You keep blabbering the shit about us :-) We simply do our jobs the best we can. There are thousands of girls in various big towns who are intelligent, hardworking, smart and as sharp as men, they are modern but not available. Married or single, house maker or professional- we have a mind today and an existence of our own. Yes for ages to come mankind would owe its existence to women. Salute to the modern day women, who as wives, sisters, mothers, beloved, colleagues, daughters, friends, bosses, teachers and in many other way still complete the MANkind........ Is it in the Name? They say its all in the name but is it?
Yes if you go by what’s happening these days in our country. The current scene of riots and the news doing rounds on every news channel reminds me of a strange encounter with a girl sitting next to me in bus enroute Muzzafarnagar to Dehradun. I had travelled to Doon a lot of times alone with ease but this time it was different as I did not find a reservation in AC train or the so called Deluxe bus. I was more than excited to wait any longer to reach home so I boarded the NORMAL bus. And just to avoid any embarrassing or unsafe thing I sat next to a girl. She looked like really pretty without a dash of makeup. She was wearing a simple salwar kameez, and was engrossed in some petty chore of fixing her mobile. May be her phone was out of charge, I asked her if she needed my charger but then I remembered the local bus would not have a charging slot, So she used my phone to call on a number. Well I had helped her and in return got a wonderful smile. I had a nice conversation with her and she told me her name was Veena, she lived in some place near Muzzafarnagar. was first time traveling alone. I had a great chat with her about various things. She was quite a pro in economics and gave me some amazing tips to manage my funds. She looked amazingly informed about world politics, was listening to some classic English country music and was also dwindling with her iPad. As the bus was passing against the temples, I as my customary gesture was praying or folding hands in every temple, the Peer baba ki mazaars or gurudwaras PASSING BY. She noticed me closely, and then I told her about my faith in god. Also I narrated my favorite tales of Hanumanji eating sun, and even the mantras of my school. She was smiling and even joined me in some of the narrations as if she has also read Ramayana and Hanuman Chalisa. When the bus entered the Khatauli area she slightly reached her bag and took out a black piece of cloth, opened it and wore it over her dress. It was a burqa! I was little taken aback, such a progressive girl wearing a burqa. She smiled at me and said she was Veena Sheikh. I smiled back!!! Suddenly I was like sympathetic to her, dwelling on my perception that the veiled girls are victims of severe conservatism. But what she said was worth admiring… She said-“I am not restrained or forced to wear a veil but it gels with the sentiments of the place I belong to. My Abba and Ammi, did so much for me so cant I wear what they like”. Her voice and words exuded confidence what I had never even seen on the most advanced and westernized women also. I loved her logic- Wearing a veil doesn’t mean my mindset and outlook is veiled. Stereotyping doesn’t help. Its time opinions are not restricted to the attire a person wears or the language one speaks. “ I still remember her and would always do. A woman should not be oppressed and what she wears is her call, veil, burqa or jeans, skirts if she can carry it, she can wear it. Also I do not feel being from one religion restrains us from admiring or even having faith in other. My devotion is in god and I know god is one, So I pray to Hanumanji, go to Mazars, light candles in church and find solace in Gurdwaras. And luckily every god bestows me. To them it does not matter if I am Neha Agarwal, Neha Khan, Neha Kaur or Neha Fredrick. We youngsters have come a long way beyond the shackles of the blind religion. We love our religion but are ready to move beyond the classification of people based on their last names. I belong to a world, fortunately where Radhika, Rachael, Ravinder Kaur and Rubina sit together and talk about their boyfriends, crushes and fashion choices sharing a same cup cake. So, its just time, the creepy politicians and the extremist stop diving people. And Education is the only way through which we all can be sane enough to understand what is true and what’s a trap. Where we start from and how we start decides a large part of where we are going to reach, so start cherishing what is there now. Often the flow of things is so overpowering we forget to relish the sheer joy of the moment itself. We are so much engrossed in getting the results we seldom enjoy the process altogether. The hectic schedules and the habit of meeting the deadlines and beating the clock has in a way washed off our nature of living and feeling things in life. Imagine how many times your favorite things which you loved doing earlier now appear as just a task to be accomplished. How many times did you actually felt the things you were doing? Not really, not at all in recent past.
There was a time when I used to be so enthusiastic about life and when I look back I feel whatever I have today was something I longed for. It was a dream to achieve most of what I have today. The job, the family, the independence, the verbosity, the vivacity, the ability to do what I want to do, responsibility everything was an objective of my life. And now when I have achieved a large part of it, I seek more and do not value or cherish what I have. Well, that is the point don’t know why we youngsters are in such a hurry, We spend or spoil most important and vital part of our lives a significant portion of our youth longing for something more and never enjoy what we own. A simple example is of all the girls who are in their early twenties, when they look stunning, they don the most beautiful jewel of their lives which is youth. But in rush for career, dating, finding the right man, marriage they develop stress and also sheathe their beauty in makeup. Makeup, more makeup and some more makeup which eventually spoils the skin, the beauty and by the time they reach late twenties the stress, shrewdness and maturity shows on their faces. Have you ever wondered why some people always look so young, innocent and childlike because they keep their innocence intact. Having right and positive feelings keeps them forever fresh. I know one such girl in my office and the only reason she looks so childish is because she wears a heart that’s good. Pressure, stress, hurry, complaints and difficulties would always be there in our lives. But that doesn't mean we should stop living. Yeah, I feel most of us are technically happy but not truly happy. We are not living lives we are just spending lives. Uncompleted tasks, un-achieved dreams, incomplete relationships and latent desires often kill the softness in us however remember there is a child in all of us. Have you ever noticed a 5 year old enjoying things, the best part is the child does not have many expectations from the thing, he is not judgmental about the thing, he doesn't start digging in deep and finding faults in the thing and thus enjoys his time with ease and comfort. As we grow we develop the habit of scrutinizing people and ignore their circumstances. And this takes away the joy, the enjoyment and the happiness of the moment. Egos, clashes, expectations, all kill relationships, moments and eventually life. So never leave loose ends in life. Always try to make up.., Don’t lose people in your life they are important even you no longer have any benefit from them. I have found one mantra for happiness and calmness in last week and that’s IGNORE negativity and don’t expect people to be always consenting to your viewpoint, Enjoy the process without bothering too much about the results, because if you are doing things with honesty and commitment then results would always turn out to be good. MOMENTS are the most important thing in life and we need to live each moment in such a way that they become memories. You can’t create memories if you are always rushing. Be fast in life but have time for relationships, people and children and everything in your life, you might be in hurry for a meeting but never forget to smile back to the colleague who helped you in accomplishing the assignment. You might be too busy in life, but do not skip that one call you make to your mom each day. Work for tomorrow but do not miss your child’s innocent smile today. We have worked hard for our TODAY, yesterday and until tomorrow comes make it pleasant and cherish it. When god gets angry, can anyone do anything. Not at all, having seen the debacle god has created in last two week has set me into deep pain and also left me speechless. I had heard and read and seen news about devastation caused due to natural calamities at a lot of places. Sometimes it was Katrina in US or Earthquake in Japan or even riots or bomb blasts at places. Those news disturbed but then life went on normal. BUT when it happened at a place close to heart and almost HOME, I could not believe my ears and seems that eyes are still seeing some bad nightmare which would end sometime but it was not a nightmare but a truth that had hit hard. The devastation has really taken the state years back, All the development and progress that was made in years has been washed in a flash by the flash floods. We human beings weave so many things and in our progress we start considering ourselves the masters of our destiny and the creators of the fate. But that is not true. When we go ahead and start disrespecting nature, environment and even the humanity, what follows is disruption and destruction. A small state, beautiful, pious and with divinity galore has turned into a sprawling graveyard where there are just countless dead bodies and millions of tears, pains and destruction. Sitting here I have just dreadful emotions and whenever there is something to be happy about, I find myself feeling guilty of being happy because back in my state things are not very happy. Though nothing has happened to anyone whom I know, my home is safe and my city is fine however it is the pain that is penetrating the mind and makes strangely sad. Sitting away here, it is very less one can do because you need to be at ground Zero to help in actual help. Its overwhelming to see how the complete nation has come together to help people in distress. Donations, volunteering, messages, information sharing everything is an attempt to save the situation. On one hand there are people who are ready to save the situation and help people, there are many giving philosophies, and their logics. Some even have misconceptions that there People are poor, backward and well informed. Sometimes I felt like slapping such idiots but then I remember "We just dont live on height, we even have some height of ethics and do not stoop to their levels. " And then I just inform them that people in the state are affluent, educated and very hard working. But true they are untouched by the shrewdness of the BIG towns. Its true that the time and destiny has been tough on the people in Uttarakhand. It’s true they are in grave need of help and support but it is also true that once they are back on their feet they would start reciprocating the help they have received. No one should ever think it cannot happen to them. Nature, God, Life and Death are most unpredictable. And if today its Uttarakhand tomorrow it can be any other place. The spirit of humanity should not dispel from our hearts. Its true there is going to be lot of corruption and misuse of funds that are being collected in name of relief, BUT remember help is the first thing we can do. Imagine apathy of the people who are stranded in the destructed land. may be, they are rescued but their homes, schools, offices everything has been damaged and what left is just barren sloth of debris. They do not need pity, they do not need reconciliation, they need immediate action which can help them rehabilitate and earn back the life of dignity they had. Also there are few immediate lessons to be learnt. 1) Always make sure you have informed and confided your assets, bank balance, policies and savings to people in your family. So many people in the debacle must have died and with them their finances and assets may have been washed off because no one apart from themselves was aware of the funds they have. Imagine the case of a bread earner of a family, if he dies and no one is aware of his assets the people left behind are in vain. So bottom-line is share with your families the financials details, what’s the use of the money which cannot be used for your own family's benefits. 2) Invest and try to have property, money beyond the place you stay. People in the hills who might have invested in some property or business out of their destructed areas still have some hope in life. 3) In the world of online life be tech savvy to have your important documents intact on web in a secured account. A simple and smart thing is to have scanned copy of all your important things like Mark sheets, passport, address proofs, identity cards etc in safe email. Why? you must be thinking. I personally know few friends whose houses have been washed of in flood. Now if they go ahead and seek a job elsewhere they would need something to prove their education etc. However they have lost everything and now even trying to get all those certificates is going to take million follow-ups. So a scanned copy can help you deal with the situation prudently. You might not have original but soft copy helps. It’s too small but can be a life saver. 4) Be good and considerate to people in your life and never look down upon anyone. You never know who might be of help. The millionaires and billionaires on the Yatra, had to ask for two chapattis from localities. We might differentiate people on basis of color, money and class but to god everyone is same. 5) Never leave any meeting or moment unfinished and on negative note. be kind to people, who knows what can be your last meeting with a person. At last be good, genuine and helpful. Do not mess with god’s creation and do not dare to question nature. I am not a philosopher, neither a pro but these words have come straight from the heart because after spending sleepless nights with the nightmare of the destruction only thing that encourages me is the adage- LIFE MUST GO ON!!!! The best trait of humanity is that no matter how hard life hits, we smile back at it and start living it. So I am just looking forward to the day when the heaven of divinity and the land of gods, starts to flourish again. Again the hymns of Ramayana and shiv chalisa are versed in Kedarnath and Badrinath. Again Ganges flows pious and again Uttarakhand smiles. Hope that happens soon till then we all are praying and working together. Jai Uttarakhand Amen. When god gets angry, can anyone do anything. Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru addressed the newborn nation passing the baton of a great nation to the countrymen. After decades of existence as an independent nation one thing which is most evident right now as never before is the Dichotomy, difference between India and Bharat. I as an Indian take a lot of pride in being from a country which as Bharat has a great cultural history and which as India has one of the most promising future. I cherish the small values and deep routed morals that shape my existence at the same time as I brag about my awareness and futuristic approach. As an Indian I have the glory of being from the nation of sages also the country of biggest scientists. India has Rock, Bharat has Ragas, India has Malls, Bharat has Fairs and Melas, India has Babes so Bharat has Behenjis, India has Moms, Bharat has Maa, India has facebook and Twitter, Bharat has newspapers,,, When India enjoys Pokemon, Shinchan, and TinTIn, Bharat relishes Chacha Chowdhury, Champak and Pinki... But truth is we all have a part of Bharat and also a slice of India in Us...... Whether you call me a Bhartiya or an India does not make much difference to me... Coz I can recite shlokas, and verses of ramayana with grace and I can also sing along trendiest rock songs with same fervor... I visit temples and I ask god for my wishes at a church or a Mazaar at the same time I click my pic at the same place post it on facebook, tweet about it.. I wish to visit the west but I also crave to be at my home town.. I love the scent of the plush metro, but I love the smell of mud of my village as well. I am an Indian and Bhartiya as well........... We have a 2000 years old culture which has given the world great insight into the right ways of living. Our heritage is so strong, we have been attracting the world towards us. We gave ved puranas and upnishads to the world. We showed the humanity the path of non violence. Jainism and Budhism blossomed on our soil. From Aryabhattas scietific priniciples to Charaks surgical excellence. We are a nation which dwelves in its ethics and ethnicity. Chandra Gupta Maurya, Ahsokka The Great, akbar the great, rani Jhansi, Mahatma gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose. We have innumerable scions that exude the glory of India. Bharat signifies shlokas, azaan, folklore and the values that defines our existence. The pios water of ganga, the holiness of Kashi and Haridwar, the spirituality in Rishikesh. As an Indian I relate with the fast pace technology, ever changing scenarios...I love the globalization that has opened doors to international trends, technologies and products for me. India signifies the nation that is growing giving tough competition to the other countries. We are shining every where... We have sachin tendulkar- the god of cricket, we have Ambanis as the richest people in the world. We have Lata Mangeshkar the Singer par excellence. India has youn entrepreneurs who have outshined the talent on entre planet... Whatever our freedom fighters had in mind but its wonderful that while India is progressing Bharat is indeed treasured in our hearts.... But does that mean everything is absolutely wonderful in India or Bharat... Bharat struggles and has always struggled for evils like Dowry System, caste System etc while India is facing debacles like corruption, rapes, massacres, rage. Bharat has the strong roots while India is spreading its branches and flourishing People understand that India is the progressive, developing and highly futuristic idea. It is about the modernization in every aspect of life. And Bharat is all about cultural heritage, age old morals and ethics. Well India is About the Metropolitan Cities and Bharat is about villages and rural areas. India is about english speaking, branded wardrobe clad professionals and Bharat is about farmers. India is about IPad, Tablets, Computers and Bharat is about Japs... Be it India or Bharat, the truth is we all belong to this great nation....
