Where we start from and how we start decides a large part of where we are going to reach, so start cherishing what is there now. Often the flow of things is so overpowering we forget to relish the sheer joy of the moment itself. We are so much engrossed in getting the results we seldom enjoy the process altogether. The hectic schedules and the habit of meeting the deadlines and beating the clock has in a way washed off our nature of living and feeling things in life. Imagine how many times your favorite things which you loved doing earlier now appear as just a task to be accomplished. How many times did you actually felt the things you were doing? Not really, not at all in recent past.
There was a time when I used to be so enthusiastic about life and when I look back I feel whatever I have today was something I longed for. It was a dream to achieve most of what I have today. The job, the family, the independence, the verbosity, the vivacity, the ability to do what I want to do, responsibility everything was an objective of my life. And now when I have achieved a large part of it, I seek more and do not value or cherish what I have. Well, that is the point don’t know why we youngsters are in such a hurry, We spend or spoil most important and vital part of our lives a significant portion of our youth longing for something more and never enjoy what we own. A simple example is of all the girls who are in their early twenties, when they look stunning, they don the most beautiful jewel of their lives which is youth. But in rush for career, dating, finding the right man, marriage they develop stress and also sheathe their beauty in makeup. Makeup, more makeup and some more makeup which eventually spoils the skin, the beauty and by the time they reach late twenties the stress, shrewdness and maturity shows on their faces. Have you ever wondered why some people always look so young, innocent and childlike because they keep their innocence intact. Having right and positive feelings keeps them forever fresh. I know one such girl in my office and the only reason she looks so childish is because she wears a heart that’s good. Pressure, stress, hurry, complaints and difficulties would always be there in our lives. But that doesn't mean we should stop living. Yeah, I feel most of us are technically happy but not truly happy. We are not living lives we are just spending lives. Uncompleted tasks, un-achieved dreams, incomplete relationships and latent desires often kill the softness in us however remember there is a child in all of us. Have you ever noticed a 5 year old enjoying things, the best part is the child does not have many expectations from the thing, he is not judgmental about the thing, he doesn't start digging in deep and finding faults in the thing and thus enjoys his time with ease and comfort. As we grow we develop the habit of scrutinizing people and ignore their circumstances. And this takes away the joy, the enjoyment and the happiness of the moment. Egos, clashes, expectations, all kill relationships, moments and eventually life. So never leave loose ends in life. Always try to make up.., Don’t lose people in your life they are important even you no longer have any benefit from them. I have found one mantra for happiness and calmness in last week and that’s IGNORE negativity and don’t expect people to be always consenting to your viewpoint, Enjoy the process without bothering too much about the results, because if you are doing things with honesty and commitment then results would always turn out to be good. MOMENTS are the most important thing in life and we need to live each moment in such a way that they become memories. You can’t create memories if you are always rushing. Be fast in life but have time for relationships, people and children and everything in your life, you might be in hurry for a meeting but never forget to smile back to the colleague who helped you in accomplishing the assignment. You might be too busy in life, but do not skip that one call you make to your mom each day. Work for tomorrow but do not miss your child’s innocent smile today. We have worked hard for our TODAY, yesterday and until tomorrow comes make it pleasant and cherish it.
